Summer has just begun when Cancer people are born. Spring with it's childlike tendencies must now make room for summer which means, adulthood has to be faced now. It scares the Cancer, because there are so many responsibilities which are new and could be filled with hidden dangers and the unknown scares them. They don't understand why they had to leave the safety of mother's lap, the warm and cozy place were they were protected, safe from the unknown. Cancer persons have that unmistaken motherly type ingrained in them but the child like tendencies are still there.

He is sensitive, emotional, compassionate and if he is hurt, he will crawl back into his shell. It is hard for him to believe that all is going well, there has to be hidden danger somewhere.

His home is his sanctuary, his safe harbor, here he can relax and be comfy. Cancer's are generous, compassionate, friendly and soft hearted and maybe because of that he feels scared. He senses good or bad more than any other sign. Due to his compassionate nature, he attracts people who confide in him, they trust him. You have to respect him, do not cross or betray him or hurt him intentionally, that would really make him crawl back into his shell.

Cancer loves: His home, his yard, springs, brooks and rivers but the mighty ocean has a special attraction for him. Everything watery plays a big role in his life. You will find many Sailors, Sea Captains or any occupation that is water or liquid related. Many Cancers prefer a cruise to a land vacation. He is very family oriented, they mean a lot to him. Good manners are very important to him too but he does not shy away from gossiping either. Give him a Novel to read and he is content.

Cancer hates: Coldness, brutality, embarrassment, provocation, impetuousness, the absurd. His instincts are highly developed and he depends on them and his first impressions are usually correct. He is also very interested in the goings on in his village his city because it could affect his surroundings.

A Cancer loves his belongings they show his good taste, unlike the Taurus who accumulated wealth and guards it.

When Aries reads the newspaper he reads the competitive news first like war or sports, Taurus heads right for the financial and business section, Gemini reads it all with speed. Cancer looks at Politic first then scans the paper for water related items.

Cancer people can be moody especially if he lives where he is not comfortable and suffers silently, where in comparison the Aries exploded when he is unhappy.

The Cancer female is soft hearted, generous and motherly, he/she needs the parental guidance during the developing years. If you marry a Cancer female, be sure that you buy your home very fast she needs that comfort in her surroundings, the safety. Both genders like to travel but home is still the most important place for them.
