The Information Age, for metaphysical studies of all forms and Astrology

in particular, has finally given us the opportunity to collect and correlate data by the billions of bits...to correspond and discuss and compare virtually whenever and wherever we are on Earth.

Due largely, in my opinion, to the 'Dawning of the Age of Aquarius'.

For anyone involved in the study of Astrology these two planets, Saturn and Pluto, have taken the brunt of human failures for centuries. The older of the astrological cookbooks list them as Malificent and Hard. They were inevitable forces that one must endure. In the last decade or so there has been a shift in the basic conceptualization of Astrology, at least in the 'Western' communities. (Thank the Stars! ) And the recognition that, like language, Sciences evolve.

There have been some very cognitive writings of late regarding my two buddies, Pluto & Saturn, but still the essence that these energies represent has not been made clear. They are still dreaded, by the majority, and this has the effect of reinforcing misinterpretations, in my view, of the enormous potential they have for opening ones mind.

The very first thing I wish to establish is that 'you' are in control of these energies; whether or not you knew of Saturn/Pluto....since your birth they have been working with you. Depending upon the interaction of the other planetary energies in your natal chart, how you respond to their energy will manifest again and again until some part of you responds.

Being generational planets you will find that a lot of your contemporaries will have the same types of 'lessons' to which they respond as they will. And you will respond as you will.

An analogy that comes to mind is this;

A man went to the doctor for a sore on the buttox area.

He had been very uncomfortable for over a week. The Doctor, during his examination, discovers a puncture in the painful area and mentions this to the man...

"MR X you have a small puncture in that area." Dr. says

"OH, that’s because there is a tack on my chair at work" says the man.

The Dr. says "Hmmm"

He cleans the area applying a numbing medicine and a bandage. He then gives the man a shot.

Mr. X" marvels at modern medicine, he thanks the doctor and extols the virtues of such a good man.

The Doctor wishes him well and tells him that the secretary will have his bill and a prescription for him at the desk.

Smiling the man goes to the front desk and reads his bill.

Office visit..............$75.00

Wound cleaning......$50.00

Tetanus shot............$25.00

Prescription............. free

On the prescription are these words;

Stop sitting on the tack.

This then is my take on Saturn and Pluto they are 'tacks' (tools to use or lessons to learn). In personal charts they will teach you or push you along your way. You can either sit on the tack and pay the piper...or open your eyes and learn how or why you are doing something or going somewhere...avoiding the most obvious hazards.

A chart will enable you to recognize their energies more readily (and how they apply to you) than just thinking about them. It works like a photo album to jog your memory of say, your 1st Saturn return and how you handled its manifestations...and would you do it the same way now?
